RumbleInBriarkeep

It's Warriors Day in Briarkeep and around the city, fighting persons of all types are celebrating like only they can - including in the Steel Phoenix Guild

Slip, Berk, Rho and Snesi and joined by Malik to drink the day away, when a barrel smashes through the window and roars (and screams) are heard from the marketplace

Our 'heroes' intervene and see a huge spirit bear tearing the place up. It is defeated and the merchants hire the heroes to find out what was going on?! Cursory investigations lead them to the quayside and the Godsmountside Traders Inn, where a large contingent of Nordholme warriors have settled, travelling across the sea to find fortunes fighting the Blood Lord Their leader, Ragnar Beastbane, reveals that their tribal totem has disappeared, and if it is not returned by midnight, there will be issues... The totem is carved on the thighbone of a dead god. It's as tall as a warrior.

Amongst all of this, Slip claims to have slain the bear spirit and is branded (literally) as a great hero for his bravery. Everyone laughs.

More investigations reveal the presence of Henrik Longshanks, aid to the Thieves Guildmaster of Gods Mount, and an Artificer called Candlethorn, with his wife Majory.

Many twists and turns later, we discover that Longshanks hired Candlethorn to steal the totem, or rather Marjory, as she is a rather proficient Arcane Trickster. Candlethorn is keeping it in a Bag of Holding.

Unfortunately, before the 'heroes' can resolve the situation, night falls and a load of werebear barbarians come storming after the totem. Fisticuffs.

The 'heroes' win, the totem is returned, both Henrik and Candlethorn exit quickly and the Bag of Holding is kept by the party.

They shake it out and a few interesting trinkets drop out including an urn, claiming to hold the ashes of a long dead hero - Moradon
